How to upgrade to a purchased website

Plenty of contractors start on the subscription and later decide they would rather own the site. That option is built in.

    Tell us you're interested

    Call 919-418-8466 or email us and say you'd like to purchase your site. No pressure and no penalty for asking.

  2. 02

    We review your service agreement

    We go over the purchase terms in your agreement together, in plain English, so you know exactly what transfers and what it costs.

  3. 03

    You purchase and take ownership

    Ownership transfers once the applicable purchase/buyout amount has been paid in full under the terms of your agreement. From there you can keep us on the separate $150/month Website Care Plan or manage the site yourself.

The terms, plainly

  • Digital Craft Guild retains ownership of the website while it is provided under the subscription arrangement.
  • You receive the right to use the website for your business while your subscription remains active and in good standing.
  • You retain ownership of your business name, domain name, logo, photos, customer information, and any other materials you provide.
  • Hosting, routine maintenance, security updates, and reasonable minor updates are included while the subscription remains active.
  • You have the option to purchase the website from Digital Craft Guild under the terms of your service agreement, and ownership transfers only after the applicable purchase/buyout amount has been paid in full.
  • Monthly subscription payments do not automatically build equity toward ownership unless your service agreement says so.
  • Exact subscription, cancellation, buyout, and ownership terms are governed by your signed service agreement.
